Checking out the Ham Sandwich.

So I saw Evan Almighty Wednesday night, date night! I had a romantic evening in Chattanooga Tenn, stayed at the Holiday Inn on Market Street. This hotel used to be a old Train Station, actually 100 yrs old this week. The architecture inside is awesome. I am only sorry I didn't bring my swim suit to get in the indoor heated pool right outside my room!
I had a really nice dinner at a place called Blue Water Grille, which I must recommend if you're ever in Chattanooga. Lightly battered lobster bites and lobster bisque for appetizer and for dinner I had seafood stuffed pasta shells with light cream sauce and tinny sliced veggies on top!! OMG so good.

So back to this movie... Evan Almighty, Wanda Sykes is so freaking funny, but for the most part the movie was about a message more than a comedy. There was one point in the movie where Evan (Steve Carell) 's wife had left him. Earlier in the movie she had prayed for a stronger family. She took the kids to eat and Morgan Freeman playing "God" and acting like a waiter tells the wife "Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"

Amazing, bing!!!!! You got it.....

I am grateful for my life and all things I have experienced... I am here for a reason and I wouldn't change a thing about it. God has given me plenty of opportunities and I am grateful. Today I am glad I recognize those opportunities.
